À propos de la série
30 000 Japonais se retrouvent enfermés dans le jeu vidéo MMPORG "Elder Tale". Shiroe, étudiant qui y joue depuis 8 ans, en fait partie. Tous les joueurs se réunissent dans la ville d'Akiba et la mettent sens dessus dessous. Le timide Shiroe constitue sa guilde, "Log Horizon", et essaiera avec ses nouveaux amis de changer le visage d'une Akiba en ruine.
