Overview

Zoids are a metallic lifeform from a far side of the Milky Way Galaxy. However, their planet was coming to an end. To promote their chance of survival, a warp was to take place to planet Earth. However, due to an unforseen Zoids factor, the warp took them through time and place to the 21st century. The resulting cataclysm shifted tectonic plants on Earth and reshaped the continents.

Planète Zi, un monde où les guerriers bio-machines appelés les Zoids vivent et sont contrôlés par des pilotes humains dans une guerre contre la Republic et l'Empire de Guylos. Un jour, un garçon nommé Van va être pourchassé par des bandits et se cacher dans de vieilles ruines, où il retrouvera deux gousses dissimulé dans une salle. Quand il ouvrit la première, Van trouve un Zoid rassemblent à un étrange dragon et le nomme Zeke. Zeke à ensuite sauvé un vieux Shield Liger Zoid pour que Van le pilote. Après avoir ouvert la deuxième gousse, une fille mystérieuse appelée Fiona en sort. Ensemble, ils commencent leur aventure pour en savoir plus sur son passé et pour trouver la Zoid Eve.

RD est un livreur qui travaille pour une compagnie qui s'appelle Mach Storm afin de gagner de l'argent pour chercher la légendaire Zoid Alpha. Un Zoid dont son père lui avait parlé, et qui en croit passionnément. Dans sa première Coliseum Zoid guerre, RD à rencontrer une équipe qui arrive à fusionner les Zoids ensemble. RD découvre bientôt qu'il a un Zoid compatible qui peut fusionner avec son, Liger Zero. Après ce qui c'est passé, son aventure pour découvrir la vérité de Zoid Alpha vient de commencer...

New Century Zero takes place a long time after the events of Zoids: Chaotic Century. Zoids are no longer used for warfare; instead the combative natures of both Zoids and humans are focused and contained by a series of battle-competitions and tournaments, run by the Zoid Battle Commission. The Zoid Battle Commission seems to be a significant power on Planet Zi, fielding a considerable arsenal of armed Zoids, orbital platforms serviced by their own launch facilities as well as orbital based weapons systems. It is not made clear in the series if the Helic Republic and Guylos Empire still exist, although the final battle upon the rusted Ultrasaurus, hinted to be same one in Zoids: Chaotic Century, could suggest neither were left and people had free rein to battle in old battlefields. The series focuses on the Blitz Team, in particular the actions of the Liger Zero and Bit Cloud. The series charts the rise of the Blitz Team through various competitions of the Zoid Battle Commission, and the team's efforts to avoid conflict with the criminal organization known as the Backdraft Group.
