One snowy night, the Amami couple who has no child encounter a huge white lion-shaped robot, which holds a baby. When they fearfully take that baby, the "lion" suddenly flies away. Though puzzling, Amami couple are happy to accept that baby as their own child. Eight years later, the time is 2005 A.D. Without notice, a Zonder appear at the Tokyo Bay, merging with debris and a passing ship which have kids on its deck, advancing to Shinjyuku - the center of Tokyo. The Japanese Self-Defense Forces' conventional weapon has no effect and some kids are taken hostage. But there is the hero who stands against that Zonder Robot. His name is Guy the Cyborg, the commander of GGG's Mechanized Unit. The GGG ("Gutsy Geoid Guard") are the newly-made Japanese secret defense forces against the extraterrestrial invasion.

Dans le futur, la Terre vit des jours paisibles sans véritable conflit. Malheureusement pour lui, il est repéré et il va être forcé par les circonstances de piloter un avion de chasse nommé G Attacker qui forme avec cinq autres parties (un autre avion de chasse G Striker, un tank bi-place nommé G Driller, un mecha nommé Grankaizer et un avion furtif nommé G Shadow) un robot géant nommé Gravion. Avec l'aide de ses cinq nouveaux compagnons, il va être le seul à pouvoir exterminer les aliens (les Zalebaia) malgré les réticences des politiciens. Mais Eiji n'a qu'une idée en tête : retrouver sa sœur dont il sait qu'elle se trouve dans ce château car elle faisait partie autrefois du groupe qui pilote le Gravion. En cas de succès, il quittera l'équipe !

He took Zeorymer and an embryo to the government. The embryo became the boy Masato. Now, Hau Dragon has rebuilt the other 7 mecha and wants the 8th. It will be up to Masato and Himuro to pilot Zeorymer and fight against the Hau Dragon, but neither Masato or Himuro are all that they seem.

In an alternate 1996, the US and USSR take the Cold War to Mars.
