Lupin et Jigen sont à la recherche d'informations sur un certain bouquin qui leur donnerait l'emplacement d'un fabuleux trésor de 500 tonnes d'or, ayant appartenu aux Romanov.
Leur adversaire ? un certain Rasputon, à la tête d'une organisation qui ressemble à un mix entre la mafia et une secte, au service des grands de ce monde qu'il manipule à sa guise.
Poursuivi par un tandem de tueurs, sans oublier Fujiko qui elle aussi se garderait bien l'or pour elle toute seule, Lupin aura fort à faire…

Lupin et Fujiko sont en tête-à-tête, et notre amoureux éconduit tente une nouvelle fois sa chance auprès de sa belle. Sur ces entrefaites, le dernier larcin de celle-ci tombe à terre : le dossier Colomb. Nos deux voleurs sont soudainement assaillis par un commando, et Fujiko, après avoir détruit les précieux documents, fait une chute vertigineuse dans le vide sous le regard impuissant de Lupin. En compagnie de Jîgen et de Goemon, il se met à la recherche de sa dulcinée. Et si celle-ci était la seule personne au monde à détenir des informations l’Oeuf de Colomb, cette relique inestimable ?

Tales of Gekijou est, à l'origine, un bonus destinée aux fans de la série ayant obtenu la version collector du jeu Tales of the Heroes : Twin Brave (à paraitre en février 2012 au Japon). Cinq épisodes sont prévus, mais les deux premiers ont déjà été diffusés sur les télévisions japonaise à l'occasion du nouvel an.
Dans cette version, nous retrouvons des personnages du jeu, issues de différents Tales of, sous forme de Chibi. Premier épisode : Yuri, Luke et Guy se sont perdus en forêt. Luke réagit alors comme un enfant et demande à manger, avant de faire un caprice : il veut de la viande et il n'y a que des carottes. Yuri construit alors un piège pour attraper de la viande, mais tout ne se passe pas vraiment comme prévu. Deuxième épisode : Asbel se promène en ville lorsqu'il croise Cheria en plein shopping. Celle-ci lui demande de l'aide, et Asbel se retrouve vite envahi de paquets divers et variés. Arrive alors Zélos, qui tente de séduire Cheria et prend les paquets des mains d'Asbel. Tous deux vont alors se battre pour porter ses affaires.
